Registered Psychotherapist or Clinical Social Worker (Contractor)

Location: Waterloo, Ontario (Hybrid & Remote options available)

W Experience Counselling and Wellness Services is a psychotherapy practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to individuals, couples, and families. We are committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for our clinicians to thrive professionally. We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Psychotherapists or Registered Social Workers to join our team on a contractor basis. 

 

Position Overview

The ideal candidate is a compassionate and skilled clinician with a strong sense of professionalism, clinical competence, and cultural humility. Clinicians should have formal training in a minimum of two therapeutic modalities and a demonstrated capacity to support clients with diverse presenting issues. Experience working with couples and/or children and youth will be considered an asset.

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychotherapy sessions in-person and/or virtually.

• Perform thorough intake assessments and maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions in alignment with client treatment goals and needs.

• Participate in regular clinical consultation and engage in ongoing professional development.

 

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). Registered Qualifying Psychotherapists also accepted. 

• Formal training in at least two recognized therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, EMDR, IFS, Narrative Therapy, etc).

• A minimum of two years of post-registration clinical experience is preferred.

• Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills.

• Maintain active professional liability insurance.

• Ability to work independently while upholding ethical and confidentiality standards.

• Able to offer a minimum availability of six hours per week.
